I am a Registered Counselling Therapist, holding a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of New Brunswick.   My practice adheres to the code of ethics and standards of practice with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association of Canada.   

I am a registered member of the following professional bodies: 

• Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists
• Canadian Counselling and Psychotheraphy Association
• Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health

I have been in the counselling field for 15 years.   I work full time as a school counsellor. My private practice is a part time endeavour that I started to help create a safe, comfortable space for youth and their families; especially LGBTQ youth.   I have previously worked as an LGBTQ support counsellor within the education system.  My belief is that everyone deserves to be their true, authentic self and creating a safe and genuine relationship is the first step.
